Frandelhi’s Racing Pigeon
I have been a pigeon racer way back my younger days and I just thought that I bring it back and make my own line of pigeon racers the past few years. Creating your own racing team requires a lot of challenges along the way. Challenges as you are not only dealing with training your birds but also dealing with the Law of Nature. Law of Nature as our pigeons will be a target for the hawks out there, who themselves needs to survive.
Back in our country (Philippines), I have always been a racing pigeon flyer. I remember way back then, after school, I will just change my school uniform so I can go straight to our roof top and check all my racing pigeons. Yes, you read it right, roof top. The roof top is where my racing pigeons are. I will release them for their daily training exercise and I will be enjoying every second of their flight time with much excitement and amazement. I will have my relaxing moment as I call them all in for them to eat and once they are all in and back to the loft, it’s time for me to do my school and house works. My work as a nurse halted this hobby of mine for a while and years gone and I decided to stop the hobby as I will be migrating to the US for good. Now in the US, once an animal lover will always be one. I miss breeding and showing birds thus I bred and show cockatiels and other birds (macaw, moluccan and others). Working with cockatiels and others made me work with birds more and be a part of bird clubs and as years progresses, I used these birds as a therapeutic approach for our Seniors and other people needing feathered companion. Being a Bird Behaviorist really bring out more on me as I worked with the birds more and further. I decided to go back to pigeon and the jacobin breed attracted me to breed and show them for years but my love to racing pigeon came back and I decided to build my racing pigeon loft 2019 and that’s when I started building my own racing team and participated racing pigeons year 2021. Feel free to check my show results and some of the pictures of my racing pigeon. Check their flying loft and the breeder’s loft.
